Chinese car brands

The Chinese auto industry is developing at a “rapid pace” - manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom are not only gradually moving away from “banal cloning” of well-known models (tending towards official partnerships with leading global companies), but are also “pourding” huge amounts of money into the development of their own new technologies. And in terms of the total number of automobile brands, China is now second only to all European countries combined...

A few decades ago, not only ordinary people, but also the expert automotive community were far from the idea that in a very short period of time a powerful automotive industry would develop in the Celestial Empire, which would take a strong position on the world stage. But the history of the Chinese auto industry goes back a little more than half a century, during which it has experienced not only incredible ups and downs, but also significant downfalls.

As unique and unusual is the culture of China, so unique is the path of development of its automobile industry - the official “year of birth” of which is considered to be 1956 (it was then that the FAW (First Automobile Works) plant, built with the direct participation of Soviet specialists, began its work in the Middle Kingdom) .

In the first few years, this company produced trucks, but already in 1958 it created its first “passenger car” (which also became the first Chinese car of this format) - a six-meter limousine called “Hongqi” (intended for senior officials of the state).

But the “fuse” of the Chinese automakers did not last long - in 1965, the government of Mao Zedong decided to cancel the Soviet Union’s obligations to provide technical assistance in the construction of industrial enterprises, introducing the “Great Leap Forward” policy (as a result of which the production of passenger cars practically “came to naught” ).

The production of passenger cars in the Middle Kingdom gained a “second wind” by the mid-1980s - this time it was, firstly, based on “licensing relations” with European and Japanese companies, and secondly, it was based on the creation of joint ventures between Chinese automakers and , all the same, foreign partners.

Such cooperation contributed to the high pace of development of the Chinese automotive industry, as well as the emergence of many own brands.

But even with this approach, the Chinese could not resist borrowing design and technological solutions (contrary to the wishes of the copyright holders) - they actively used such “techniques” in the second half of the 1990s ~ the first half of the 2000s (and some of the companies continue to follow them to this day por)…

By the mid-2000s, there were over a hundred large and small manufacturers of passenger cars in China, but most of them did not pay enough attention to the quality and reliability of their products - which is why they were given the title of “Chinese consumer goods.” In order to overcome the prevailing trends, the Chinese government tightened the requirements for machine builders - as a result, the quality of local “iron horses” was noticeably increased...

Continuing its development at a rapid pace, already in 2009 China became not just the world's largest market for passenger cars, but also a leading automaker (producing more cars annually than all European countries combined).

Today, the Chinese auto industry is gradually moving away from “banal cloning” (models of famous automobile brands) to official partnerships with global automakers (at the same time investing huge amounts of money in the development of their own technologies).

And this gives a visible result: in the 2010s, the Chinese are not only developing in “mad leaps” the production of “traditional” cars of all “formats” (from miniature models to executive sedans and huge SUVs), but are also making stunning progress in creating electric vehicles (though , such developments are so far only “local in nature”).

Well, if the Chinese auto industry continues on its set course, it will probably in the near future become a leader not only in sales and production of passenger cars, but also in terms of creating advanced technologies in the automotive industry.

The section contains a list of Chinese automobile brands (a catalog of automakers), which presents reviews (with photographs and reviews from owners) of all models (including new products from 2018-2019). Their technical characteristics, equipment and prices for new/current models are indicated (the entire model range in Russia).

Brands of Chinese cars popular in Russia and their prices

Chinese car brands are becoming more popular every year, gradually displacing competitors. In Russia, this trend has been visible for a long time - more and more cars from the Middle Kingdom are beginning to travel to domestic destinations. Indeed, these companies are constantly improving their products, taking as samples products from more “thoroughbred” brands - German, French and Japanese.

As a rule, Chinese cars are copies of European brands, but cheaper

And they do it well - if you remove the Chinese emblem from the radiator grille and dismantle the traditional chrome elements, then it will become difficult to recognize them as Chinese cars. But the most popular in the Russian Federation are Chinese crossovers, the segment of which is extremely saturated.

Chinese car brands - famous companies and popular models

Although almost all of their products end up in China and Asia, a lot is also sold in Russia. However, the following brands of Chinese cars are represented in Russia:

  1. Lifan;
  2. Geely;
  3. Chery;
  4. Great Wall;
  5. Brilliance China Auto.

As you can see, Chinese cars, the prices of which are noticeably lower than European ones, are flooding the market.

Lifan

This is a very young automobile corporation, founded in China in 1992, with headquarters in Chongqing. In addition to cars, it also produces buses, scooters and motorcycles. It exports its products to a number of countries, including the Russian Federation, Canada and the USA.

Lifan model range

In Russia, dealers have 5 models. Among them there are a couple of cars in the small class:

— LIFAN Smily – sold in both old and new versions. Price tag – from 319,900 rubles. up to 484,900 rub.

— LIFAN Celliya is a compact sedan, priced from 479,900 rubles. up to 579,900 rub.

In the small middle class, LIFAN is represented by the Solano sedan model, which is sold in pre-restyling and restyled versions. Cost – from 439,900 rubles. up to 569,900 rub. The middle class has the LIFAN Cebrium sedan (584,900 rubles - 654,900 rubles).

LIFAN X60

Chinese crossover Lifan-X60, model range 2014

There is also one crossover – LIFAN X60 priced from 499,900 rubles. up to 674,900 rub. This is a solid, but unremarkable car. The appearance of the crossover, with its exaggerated forms, “floating” optics, a huge radiator grille and an abundance of chrome, looks quite aggressive.

Under the hood lies a 1.8-liter petrol engine, to which there is no alternative. Standard, in-line aspirated, with 4 cylinders, 128 hp. With. (at 6,000 rpm) and a thrust of 168 Nm (at 4,200 rpm). The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. There is also a fully independent suspension with disc brakes and power steering.

Geely

Geely, which was founded in 1986, initially produced scooters and refrigerators. But soon she switched to producing cars. Hangzhou is the location of its headquarters.

Geely lineup

Cars that are exported to Russia are moderately expensive. There are 5 models.

The small middle class has small sedans:

– MK – from 342,000 rub. up to 393,000 rub. There are pre-restyling and restyled versions;

— GC6 – estimated at the amount from 379,000 to 399,000 rubles;

- Emgrand (in sedan and hatchback bodies) - costs from 422,000 rubles. up to 622,000 rubles;

— MK Cross is a hatchback that claims to be a pseudo-crossover, although apart from ground clearance it is no different from the others. Price tag – from 392,000 rubles. up to 419,000 rub.

Geely Emgrand X7

Another representative of the Chinese automobile industry from the crossover class is the Geely Emgrand X7

In the crossover segment, Geely has only one representative - the Emgrand X7 model, priced from 649,900 to 689,900 rubles. This is a car with a spectacular front end, rectangular optics, aggressive design elements and stepped stampings. Only the poor food lets him down.

The Geely Emgrand X7 has only one power unit - an in-line 16-valve engine with a power of 139 horses at 5,900 rpm, and a thrust of 178 “newtons” of torque at 4,250 rpm. Only a 5-speed MT is combined with this engine. The crossover also has an independent “multi-link” on both axles, a hydraulic booster and disc brakes.

Chery

This corporation is also quite young - it has existed since 1997, and its headquarters are located in Anhui province. Initially, it produced only engines, but gradually created lines for assembling cars of different classes. These are budget Chinese cars; there is only one crossover in the lineup - Chery Tiggo.

Chery model range

The urban class is represented by 2 cars - Kimo for 350,900 rubles. and IndiS (from RUB 374,000 to RUB 474,900).

Video: Quality of Chinese cars. Great Wall Road Show 2013

There are already 3 representatives in the small class:

— Bonus, valued from 344,999 to 419,999 rubles;

— Very — sold with a price tag starting from RUB 354,999. and up to 429,999 rubles;

— Bonus 3 is a new model, the cost of which starts at 420,000 rubles. and reaches 485,900 rubles.

There is one model in the small middle class. This is the currently popular M11, but it is sold in sedan and hatchback body styles. The sedan costs from 489,900 rubles. up to 644,000 rubles, while the hatchback is slightly more expensive (by 10,000 rubles). There is also a stylish middle class in the form of Arrizo 7, which is sold by dealers from 570,000 rubles. and up to 670,900 rub.

Chery Tiggo and Tiggo 5

Quite popular in Russian spaces Chery Tiggo 5

These are two crossovers from a Chinese concern from the same family. Chery Tiggo has already attracted the attention of Russian buyers, and the much more spectacular Tiggo 5, with a more austere and stylish interior, chiseled head optics, stampings and chrome trim, should consolidate this success. As for the technical stuffing, both Chinese cars are not too strikingly different.

Chery Tiggo has 2 in-line power units. This is a 1.6-liter engine with a power of 126 horses at 6,150 rpm and a thrust of 160 Nm at 3,600 rpm, as well as its 2-liter brother, which already produces 136 hp. With.

at 5,750 rpm, along with 180 Newtons of torque, which is achievable at 4,500 rpm. Tiggo 5 has only a 2-liter engine, completely similar to that of the previous version, but its power is 2 liters. With. more - 138 horses.

Peak revs are the same.

The drive is only front-wheel drive, and the gearboxes include both a 5-speed manual and a continuously variable variator. The suspension, like all other representatives of the segment, is completely independent, multi-link. There is a hydraulic booster and disc brakes.

As you can see, these Chinese cars, prices for which range from 595,900 rubles. up to 699,900 rub. for Chery Tiggo and from 650,000 rubles. up to 795,900 rub. for Tiggo 5, are in great demand.

Great Wall

Another company representing Chinese cars on the world and Russian markets. Its peculiarity is that this corporation, whose headquarters is in Baoding, specializes in the production of SUVs. Its foundation was in 1976.

Great Wall range

It is noteworthy that the line of models is dominated by SUVs - with brutal appearance, permanent all-wheel drive and serious ground clearance. Actually, in all this variety of Chinese cars, there is only one crossover in the model range - Hover M4

SUVs

— Hover H3 – priced at RUB 789,000. up to RUB 864,000;

— Hover H3 New – this version is more expensive, and its cost starts from 815,000 rubles, reaching up to 929,000 rubles;

— Hover H5 is a jeep sold by dealers for an amount starting from 779,000 rubles. up to 959,000 rub.

— Hover H6 is another SUV. Its cost varies from 839,000 rubles. up to RUB 1,099,000

Pickup

Great Wall Wingle stands a little apart from other models, as it already applies to commercial vehicles.

Hover M4

Little similar to a full-fledged Great Wal Hover M4 crossover

This is the only crossover in the Great Wall line. However, it’s only a stretch to call the Hover M4 such. Externally, the car turned out to be quite unique. Its stylish and modern front end, with a massive bumper and a huge air intake, provides a significant contrast with the stern piled up in front and its short fifth door.

Technically, this Chinese crossover is rather inconspicuous. There is only one power unit in the arsenal - a 1.5-liter unit. It has 99 horses, and even those are only at 6,000 rpm. Naturally, you can forget about the dynamics with him.

The engine is paired with only a 5-speed manual transmission. But the rear chassis is semi-independent, represented by a torsion beam. This Chinese car also has disc brakes and power steering.

The crossover from the Great Wall lineup is estimated at RUB 609,000. up to 659,000 rub.

Brilliance China Auto

This is a Chinese automobile concern founded in 1992, and its head plant is located in Shenyang. The volume of cars produced is relatively small. Only 2 models are supplied to Russia, one of which is a crossover.

Brilliance China Auto lineup

In the middle class, Russian dealers sell the H530 sedan. Prices for it start from 554,900 rubles. up to 629,990 rub.

Brilliance V5

Brilliance V5 - its main advantage is the price

This is a crossover from a Chinese manufacturer. It is immediately noticeable that the active cooperation of the Asian concern with the German company BMW was not in vain. Externally, it is very similar to the prestigious BMW X5.

However, he does not have the same “breed” that the German has. Instead of powerful “nostrils”, only a nondescript radiator grille is visible, and the side stampings are not so stylish.

However, even this result is quite good - the Chinese crossover looks fresh and attractive.

Technically there is nothing outstanding. The crossover has only one 110-horsepower engine. It has a traditional design with 4 cylinders and an injector. Together with the engine, only a “mechanics” with 5 gears functions. And the electric power steering and disc brakes get along well with the semi-independent suspension.

Price tag – from 639,990 rubles. up to 733,990 rub.

Bottom line

As you can see, Chinese auto companies have already conquered a certain piece of the Russian market. This means that Russian buyers are paying attention to Chinese cars, the prices of which are quite reasonable.

The most purchased Chinese car brand. Review of Chinese cars and trucks:

Chinese-made cars are found everywhere on Russian roads. They are popular, and all thanks to their low price and status as a foreign car. However, many cars from the Middle Kingdom are really good. And you can be convinced of this if you pay attention to their characteristics. Well, every popular Chinese car brand deserves special attention.

Chery

Interestingly, one of the most popular manufacturers is a company that for a long time could not obtain a license to sell cars throughout the country.

Who would have thought then that over time this Chinese car brand, Chery, would be so highly regarded on the market. And one of the best models is known as Tiggo 5. An excellent crossover with a rich set of equipment and a decent level of safety.

Moreover, it is offered at a modest price. In the Luxury configuration, this model costs less than a million rubles.

The all-wheel drive Chery A5 sedan also deserves attention. It has been produced for 10 years, and there have been two generations in total. The most powerful version at the moment is considered to be Chery A5 FL/Fora 2.0. A 132-horsepower engine is installed under its hood, working in tandem with a 4-speed automatic transmission. With this engine, the car can accelerate to a maximum of 185 km/h.

And another worthy model is known as Chery Arrizo. Not long ago a new version of this original, stylish car was released. It is considered that this is the most beautiful sedan of the company. And you can verify this by looking at the photo provided above. It is not surprising that Chery Arrizo is already one of the most purchased Chinese passenger cars.

Geely

Perhaps this is the most popular and recognizable Chinese car brand in our time. And not so long ago, the concern released an updated version of its best-selling sedan. It is known as Emgrand GL.

A sedan with expressive design and improved safety.

This model is equipped with a blind spot monitoring system, cruise, automatic parking, a rear view camera and many other options, thanks to which the Emgrand GL immediately aroused the trust and love of potential buyers.

The X7 NEW hatchback, which looks more like a crossover, is also popular. The price of the new model with a 1.8-liter 123-horsepower engine starts at 815,000 rubles. Cost, comfortable interior, rich equipment - these are the three reasons why this car quickly became famous.

One cannot fail to note the GC6 model. This is an economical family sedan, the price of which starts at 415,000 rubles. Under its hood is a 94-horsepower 1.

A 5-liter engine, and the neatly decorated interior has everything you need for comfort - from airbags and an on-board computer to air conditioning and an audio system with a monochrome display.

If you look at the full list of good equipment, you can understand why people are actively buying these new Chinese cars.

This brand is also worth noting. A few years ago, the company released a crossover called BYD S6. It quickly attracted attention, since its external image and interior architecture clearly showed similarities with the famous second-generation Lexus RX.

The new Chinese BYD S6 cars are offered with two engine options. The weaker is the 2-liter 138-horsepower unit, due to which the crossover can accelerate to 180 km/h. Works in tandem with a 5-speed manual transmission. Its consumption per 100 kilometers is about 10.7 liters of fuel in the urban cycle.

A more powerful version produces 162 horsepower with a volume of 2.4 liters. It came only with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The consumption in this case is 12.8 liters, and the maximum speed reaches 185 km/h.

Following the S6, the S7 model was released. Its feature is a heavily redesigned exterior, eliminated shortcomings in the interior, all-wheel drive and a turbocharged diesel engine. This car is better than its predecessor, which is why people buy it most often.

Baojun

This company produces good budget cars. The latest new product is the Baojun 510 subcompact crossover, offered for 65-80 thousand yuan (about 600-740 rubles). So far, the car has not appeared on the Russian market, but soon, presumably, it will be possible to buy it.

Baojun 510 has already become popular in China. It looks stylish; the main “highlights” can be considered the unusual rear of the new product with a large tailgate, a massive spoiler and large “boomerangs” of side lights. The image is complemented by a neat bumper, deceptive exhaust pipes and elegant optics.

The interior doesn't look any worse. Attention is drawn to the multifunctional steering wheel, an informative dashboard with a combined display, a multimedia system with support for Apple Car Play, Android Auto and navigation, as well as many other details.

Under the hood of the model is a 112-horsepower 1.5-liter engine, thanks to which the crossover can accelerate to 175 km/h. It consumes only 6.3 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers in combined mode. The engine is not impressively powerful, but for an urban budget crossover you don’t need more.

Brilliance

Talking about what the Chinese automotive industry is like, we cannot help but talk about this company. The Brilliance concern owns many interesting models.

Take, for example, the stylish H530 sedan. When looking at it, you can catch some similarities with the BMW of the third series, manifested in the shape of the radiator grille and expressive optics.

The attractive sedan features a sporty sloping hood, neat roof, puffy fenders and a solid rear end. And the interior is comfortable and cozy. The model, by the way, is offered with two engines.

One of them produces 119, and the other – 136 “horses”. The price starts from RUB 670,000.

The Brilliance V5 crossover is also popular. And its appearance also resembles a BMW, but only the X1 model. Under the hood there is a 110-horsepower engine, which can be driven either manually or automatically. The choice of transmission depends only on the potential buyer. And the price of Brilliance V5 starts at 630,000 rubles.

First Automobile Works

This concern is known to everyone under the abbreviation FAW. It produces various vehicles, including passenger cars.

Take, for example, the Besturn B50. This compact 5-seater sedan is built on the platform of the sixth Mazda, and under its hood is installed a Volkswagen engine of the second generation Jetta model. Many people who decided to own this car bought it precisely because its feature was a reliable 1.6-liter engine with 103 horsepower.

Another sedan being purchased is the Besturn B70. It has been produced since 2006, but the latest versions are the most popular, as they are equipped with a 1.8-liter turbodiesel engine producing 180 horsepower.

Lifan

This company has been producing vehicles since 1992. And it is worth noting that the Chinese car brand “Lifan” has been confidently conquering the automobile market in recent years.

The compact crossover Lifan X60 is very popular, equipped with a 1.8-liter 128-horsepower engine that consumes only 8.2 liters of gasoline in the combined cycle. Many people like this car because it looks good and has rich equipment.

And soon the Lifan X80 will appear on the Russian market. This is a new crossover that is already gaining popularity in China. Some even believe it will eclipse the powerful Japanese rival Toyota Highlander. This all-wheel drive model has received good reviews, because under its hood there is a 192-horsepower turbodiesel, and the interior is decorated with high-quality materials and is equipped with a solid set of equipment.

Trucks

It is important to know that the Lifan concern produces both Chinese cars and trucks.

The T11 model is popular, which in its homeland costs about 28,000 yuan (250,000 rubles). This light truck is equipped with engines of 1.0 and 1.3 liters.

Power is 50, 68 and 90 horsepower, respectively. The only transmission offered is a 5-speed manual.

A more expensive model (up to 300,000 rubles) is the T21 truck. It is equipped with only a 1.3-liter 90-horsepower engine, with the same gearbox. The cargo platform for both models is approximately the same, it is 2000x1542x351 mm.

In addition to light models, Lifan also produces truck tractors. The most popular is the LFJ4250G1 truck with a 3-seater cab. The permissible load on the saddle is 15,365 kilograms, and the total weight of the tractor reaches 25 tons. It is powered by a diesel engine, thanks to which the truck can move at a maximum speed of 85 km/h.

Foton

This Chinese brand also deserves special attention. The cars coming off the production lines of this automobile company are well known to everyone. After all, Foton produces truly high-quality and reliable concrete mixers, dump trucks, flatbed trucks and tractors.

The most powerful model is known as AUMAN BJ 4259. Its load capacity is 44,000 kilograms. This vehicle is equipped with a 420-horsepower engine controlled by a 16-speed 16JSD220TA gearbox.

This model also has good equipment. There is ABS, mountain brake, heated mirrors, tachograph, interior heating, sleeping places and much more. And Chinese AUMAN BJ 4259 trucks are not that expensive.

Their price starts from 3,150,000 rubles.

If we talk about medium-tonnage models, then the best option will definitely be AUMAN BJ 11633. Its load capacity is 10 tons. It is equipped with a 238-horsepower engine, an 8-speed gearbox, and the price starts from 1,165,000 rubles.

Shaanxi

This concern is widely known as the largest manufacturer of special equipment in the Middle Kingdom. Chinese Shaanxi trucks are in demand, and rightfully so. After all, they have a number of advantages.

Shaanxi trucks are equipped with a spacious, warm and safe cab.

You can move around the cabin without problems, since the engine tunnel is located low, and the space itself is isolated from noise and ergonomic.

In our country, these cars are still popular because they are adapted to climatic operating conditions similar to those in Russia. The cabin warms up quickly and cools down slowly.

Also, Shaanxi trucks are equipped with inter-axle and inter-wheel locks, which is reflected in the successful overcoming of difficult road sections. This is perhaps one of the most important qualities.

Other brands

Well, the above mentioned car companies are equally popular. But this, of course, is not the entire list.

There is also a company called Howo, which assembles tractors, trucks and dump trucks, which are also popular in Russia. The Baw concern produces special equipment that is allowed to enter the city center due to its low weight.

Dongfeng produces heavy trucks for many countries around the world. And Great Wall Motor Ltd. is the largest pickup truck manufacturer in China.

There is a lot more that can be said about the Chinese automotive industry. But one thing should be stated with confidence: the once-established stereotypes about their quality have long ceased to apply to Chinese cars. Today, cars from the Middle Kingdom are popular, bought and loved in many countries around the world.

Chinese cars in Russia. Who is who. Chinese-made cars model range

Home » Model range » Chinese-made cars model range

Of all the Chinese car brands represented in our country, Lifan is the leader in sales. Last year, almost 18 thousand cars found their buyers in Russia, and this is only slightly less than Honda’s results for the same period of time. But two years ago, Lifan sales did not even reach three thousand.

The young company was helped to reach a new level not only by the end of the crisis, but also by the start of full-cycle production of cars (including welding and painting of bodies) at the Russian Derways plant in Cherkessk. After this, the dealer network began to expand at a rapid pace.

LIFAN

Now there are four cars in the Lifan model range: the compact hatchback Smily (from 289,900 rubles), the golf-class sedan Solano (from 409,900 rubles) and the sedan of the same name (from 334,900 rubles) and the Breez hatchback (from 354,900 rubles). ).

Very soon the new front-wheel drive crossover Lifan X60 will reach car dealerships, prices for which will start at 499,900 rubles. With him, the company's sales should only increase.

CHERY

The Chery company is not new to our market and is known to almost everyone.

The first cars of this brand appeared at Russian dealers back in 2005 and, thanks to low prices, quickly began to gain popularity - already in 2007, more than 37 thousand cars were sold.

The sales locomotive at that time was the Amulet sedan. The small QQ hatchback and Tiggo crossover were also in good demand.

At the end of the first half of 2012, over ten thousand new cars were sold. And over the past couple of years, Chery has almost completely updated its model range: Italian design, Austrian engines... The company even returned to the idea of creating its own assembly plant in Russia. If this happens, then the prospects for the brand will be very good.

Today, dealers offer the following Chery models: baby Kimo (from 335,900 rubles), compact Very hatchback (from 349,999 rubles) and Bonus sedan (from 339,999 rubles), M11 sedan (from 479,900 rubles), hatchback of the same name (from 489,900 rubles), seven-month station wagon CrossEastar (634,000 rubles), as well as crossovers IndiS (from 379,000 rubles) and Tiggo (from 505,900 rubles).

But some of the brand’s previous models are still on sale. They changed their name to Vortex and are now produced at TagAZ under license from Chery. Among them are the Corda sedan (from 319,900 rubles), Estina (from 399,900 rubles), the front-wheel drive crossover Tingo (from 499,900 rubles) and its updated version Tingo FL (from 559,900 rubles).

GREAT WALL

The Great Wall brand in our country is associated primarily with SUVs and pickups.

Hover, SUV G5, utilitarian pickup truck Deer - these accounted for the main sales of the Chinese company in the first time, after its appearance on the Russian market.

But Great Wall passenger models (Cowry minivan, Peri, Coolbear and Florid hatchbacks) were not in demand, so last year they quietly disappeared from dealer showrooms.

Now two Russian enterprises are involved in the production of Hover SUVs: the Circassian Derways plant is engaged in welding and painting of bodies, and they are sent to Gzhel near Moscow for assembly. But the company does not give up hopes of building its own assembly plant in Russia.

The list of Great Wall models for today is as follows: SUVs Hover h4 (from 699,000 rubles) and Hover H5 (from 699,000 rubles), pickups Wingle 3 (from 604,000 rubles) and Wingle 5 (from 644,000 rubles) .

And dealers are already preparing free space for three new products at once: the large Hover H6 SUV (from 834,000 rubles), the Hover M2 crossover (from 519,000 rubles) and the Voleex C50 sedan, the prices of which are still unknown.

GEELY

In Russia, they learned about the Geely car brand five years ago. At first, things were going well for the company: the dealer network was expanding and, despite a small selection of models (Otaka and MK sedan, later Vision), sales were gradually growing.

Even in the crisis year of 2009, twice as many cars were sold (7,700 units) than the year before. But the very next year, sales dropped fourfold.

And only after opening its own Russian representative office (instead of previous cooperation with distributors) the company again began to show positive dynamics.

Today, for a buyer who comes to a Geely dealer, the choice is modest: the MK sedan (from 349,000 rubles), the high MK Cross hatchback (from 389,000 rubles) and the large D-class sedan Emgrand EC7 (from 429,000 rubles). By the way, the latter will appear a little later in a hatchback body.

HAIMA

Haima passenger cars were shown at the Moscow International Motor Show back in 2007, but the cars never reached dealers - the start of Russian sales was delayed for three whole years.

By this time, at the plant in Cherkessk, whose production capacity the company shared with Great Wall, Lifan and Geely, the assembly of Haima 3 sedans and hatchbacks had been established. By the way, these cars were also built on the Mazda 323 platform.

The Chinese company has been collaborating with Mazda for a long time, and therefore most of the brand's current models are produced under license from the Japanese company.

Today, in the price lists of dealers you can only find the sedan (from 429,900 rubles) and the Haima 3 hatchback (from 439,900 rubles). But the new products - the five-door city hatchback Haima 2 and the crossover Haima 7 - have already appeared at exhibitions and should join the Haima lineup in the near future.

It is too early to talk about sales growth. However, last year three thousand people became owners of Haima 3 hatchbacks and sedans.

BYD

The BYD car company is still very young - it is not even ten years old. But it came to the Russian market just a couple of years after its “birth”, in 2005, and brought the small five-door Flyer hatchback.

Next came the F3 sedan, which became our most popular car of the brand. During the crisis, the company's sales dropped significantly and began to improve only last year, when cars assembled at TagAZ began to arrive at dealers.

Today, prices for the F3 sedan start at 389,900 rubles.

So far, nothing has been heard about the replenishment of the Russian BYD model line. However, it is known that the Chinese company is seriously developing electric vehicles.

FAW

FAW is the most “grown-up” Chinese automobile company. Its history goes back more than half a century, and numerous factories produce almost any type of vehicle: from buses and trucks to SUVs and cars.

FAW entered the Russian small car market in 2007 with the compact five-door Vita.

The plans were big, the company even planned to expand the model range to ten units, but sales of Vita hatchbacks and sedans remained at a low level, and in 2010 FAW had to leave the market altogether.

And she returned last year with a new golf-class sedan Besturn B50, which is available at a price of 549 thousand rubles.

His loneliness will not last long, and soon the FAW Besturn B50 will be accompanied by two new models: the compact hatchback V2 and the sedan V5. If the cost of the machines does not turn out to be high, then FAW can become quite competitive in Russia.
