And the hood, roof and fenders are protected from scratches by a special coating.

Suzuki's future SUV concept retains its frame design. And the large display at the front shows old-fashioned round headlights and a radiator grille with characteristic vertical slits.

The doors are made transparent, and the car has one electric motor in each wheel.

Suzuki e-Survivor hints at a new generation of the Jimny SUV, which will also be on frame, although it is unlikely to have such a futuristic appearance.

The Yamaha Cross Hub pickup truck has a wood floor and cargo compartment floor in the style of a yacht deck. The steering wheel is located in the center, and passengers sit on either side of the driver and another one in the back. This made it possible to round the rear wall of the cabin so that a couple of cross-country motorcycles could fit in the back of a small pickup truck, although one of them was for children.

The curved rear door window gives the hatchback the features of a sports coupe. The production car, which is promised to be shown in two years, will receive economical Skyactiv-X engines with compression ignition and a drive supercharger.

Another new Mazda product is the four-door Vision Coupe. Designer Ikuo Maeda calls his brainchild the most elegant Mazda in the company's history and claims that he was guided by the 1969 Mazda Luce Rotary Coupe. Subaru in Tokyo hinted at the upcoming WRX sedan. Interestingly, under the name Viziv, the Japanese manufacturer showed prototypes of crossovers. There is no information about the interior and technical content, but it is already clear that the WRX will receive a boxer engine, “symmetrical” all-wheel drive, and the EyeSight system.

Targa HV is presented in Tokyo under the GR sub-brand - derived from the motorsport division Gazoo Racing. The car is based on the GT86 and is equipped with a hybrid powertrain.

The most unusual detail of the concept is the manual lever in combination with a push-button automatic transmission, like on an Aston Martin.

With it you can change gears manually, and under the hinged cover on the knob there is a button to start the engine.

Daihatsu, a specialist in compact cars and kei cars, brought a whole bunch of concepts to Tokyo. The most interesting is the Campagno four-door coupe, whose retro appearance brings to mind the cars of the same name from the 1960s. The salon, on the contrary, is the most modern. Under the hood is either a liter turbo engine or a hybrid power plant.

Honda seamlessly marries retro and electric. After the Urban EV electric hatchback with a design in the style of the 1980s, shown in Frankfurt, she brought a sports coupe to Tokyo on the same base. The concept is the size of a Mazda MX-5 and has the long hood of a classic sports car. Perhaps it will go into production, but only after the Urban EV goes into production.

The design of the Yamaha MWC-4 quadricycle was influenced not only by motorcycles, but also by the musical instruments for which the Japanese company is known. This is a kind of response to the Renault Twizy and Toyota i-TRIL. The MWC-4 has a motorcycle handlebar and it also rolls like a motorcycle, that is, inward when turning. There are two electric motors on the rear axle, and the energy for them is generated by a gasoline unit that is not connected to the wheels.

Mitsubishi Electric showed its concept car of the future. It is not so easy to recognize the car in the outline of the Emirai 4, but the most interesting thing is inside it.

It was created to demonstrate the promising developments of the Japanese concern for the automotive industry. For example, a projection display with augmented reality elements.

The Subaru WRX STI S207 received a 2.0-liter horizontally opposed turbo-four that develops 328 horsepower and 431 Nm. By comparison, the standard WRX STI's 2.5-liter boxer engine produces 300 horsepower and 407 pound-feet.

It's 15mm shorter, 140mm wider and 25mm lower than the current generation Impreza.

Subaru Viziv Future

The output of the power plant of the hydrogen Honda Clarity FCV sedan, which produces energy as a result of a chemical reaction between oxygen and hydrogen, is 177 “horses”. The declared range with a full tank is about 700 km.

It only takes three minutes to refuel a car with hydrogen. Inside the hydrogen car you can see a new generation infotainment system and leather trim. In the Japanese market, sales of the Honda Clarity Fuel Cell hydrogen sedan will begin before the end of this year. The innovative Japanese product will arrive on the European market in 2016.

The elements of the front and rear suspension are not covered by the wings, the wheels are moved outside the body, and the chrome-plated engine pipes can be seen from the rear.
