Heated seats are also desirable. The thickness of the auto leather should be 1.2-1.6 mm.

Reupholstering the seats and some other elements of the car interior after purchasing it has many advantages. - then the original covers are removed from the seats by squeezing the metal clips on the back of the seat;
- the removed cover is ripped into separate parts for the purpose of subsequently transferring them to new material.

The prepared fragments of the standard cover are applied to the new material and pressed with weights. Next, use a gel pen to trace along the contour. To align the fragments, thin notches are marked around the perimeter. The material is then cut with tailor's scissors.
It is advisable to strengthen the skin, for which purpose foam rubber on a fabric base with a thickness of 5 mm is used. The cut out fragments of the seat covers are fixed to the foam rubber using glue, the material is glued on the side of the foam rubber. In this case, it is advisable to use glue in a spray can.
The seat cover fragments created by gluing leather and foam rubber are sewn together, aligning the marks on the edges. For this work, craftsmen use sewing machines. Single-needle industrial models with integrated promotion are most suitable.
The main requirement for the tool is the ability to slowly advance the material. It should be taken into account that the cost of such a device is about 30,000 rubles, which makes it unprofitable to carry out one-time work with your own hands.
Next, glue the opened seam flaps on the original side of the covers:
- cut off the strips of foam rubber remaining near the lapels;
- the skin flaps are pulled apart and pressed against the foam rubber;
- the seams are beaten with a hammer.
The lapels are sewn with a double finishing stitch. The free edges are invisible under the foam rubber, so they are not cut off. This completes the production of the covers.
Work begins from the back, threading the straps, then moves to the seat. When working with chairs with a relief shape, you need to tighten the cover to the frame. To do this, plastic clamps are used - they are threaded through special holes through the pillow and hooked onto a knitting needle.
Upon completion of the upholstery, the seats are dried and steamed. First they are treated with a hairdryer, then with steam through a rag. As a result of these procedures, the cover becomes stretched and becomes smooth. Upon completion of work, the seats are cleaned of glue residues, prints and other contaminants.

First of all, the material is shaped into the part. To do this, the skin is soaked for 2-3 hours in warm water, but not in boiling water. The material is then applied to the part, stretched over the protruding parts and dried with a hairdryer in sections to smooth it out. You can first mark the fitted part into sections - the quantity determines the accuracy of the work.
After drying, the skin is removed, it will shrink a little as it cools. The part and material are treated with glue, then the material is applied to the part and blown with a hairdryer in sections, as in the first case.
Despite the fact that the finishing of panels is much simpler in comparison with the covering of seats, in order to competently carry out this work, some features must be taken into account. For example, it is necessary to maintain the functionality of the airbags.
To do this, the material is cut from the inside or completely cut along the border of their opening, and then an easily torn seam is applied. If this is not done, in the event of an accident the airbags may deploy late or not deploy at all.
This applies in most cases to the dashboard, and often also to the door panels in the case of side airbags.
