While the mastic dries, you can start processing the doors. For these surfaces, it is better to use liquid compounds in cans; they are easy to use and dry quickly enough. At the next stage, you can begin re-processing the dried surfaces. Typically, it takes about 3 hours for one layer of mastic to harden, and complete drying occurs within 24 hours.
After applying the second layer of mastic, all remaining internal surfaces can be coated with protective compounds: stiffeners, thresholds and other parts. For these units it is also recommended to use special products in cans.
At the final stage of work, all you have to do is carefully inspect the car, find all the existing smudges and remaining anti-corrosion stains on the painted parts of the car. It is recommended to do this before the protective compounds have completely dried, so that contamination with aviation kerosene or white spirit can be removed. They effectively remove anti-corrosion agents, but do not harm the paintwork.
