Adjusting the timing belt

In order to adjust it after replacing the belt, you must first remove the front protective cover, and then slightly loosen the bracket bolts (bottom), with which the tensioner roller is attached and its position is adjusted. Next, you need to turn the crankshaft on the side in which the ratchet is tightened about 3 turns.

The adjusting spring on the bracket will automatically set the belt tension. After this you need to tighten the bolts. It is also recommended to check the timing belt tension.

To do this, you can use a little trick - you need to rotate it around its axis. If the belt has turned 45 degrees and no more, then the tension is optimal and the tension is done correctly.
