The Europrotocol has become an indispensable tool in case of minor accidents. But unfortunately, not all drivers want to use it due to the fact that they do not know how to fill it out correctly. This is exactly what we will talk about today in our article.
The notification of an accident consists of two forms for one-time completion in relation to both drivers involved in an accident, as well as instructions on how to fill out the Euro Protocol for an accident in 2018.

- Next, indicate the full name of the owner of the car and his address. If this is a legal entity, then its full name.

You have a window in which you should indicate the name of the streets, the trajectory of the vehicles, the position of the vehicle during the collision, and of course their location. In paragraph 18, the drivers of both parties sign, thereby confirming that they have no disagreements.
The front side is filled out with the driver at the scene of the accident. The back part can be filled out in the near future, but it is still advisable to do this also at the scene of the accident.

Rules for registering road accidents according to the European protocol
The Europrotocol is a document that allows you to formalize some road accidents in a simplified manner without calling the traffic police. The official name of the European protocol is “Notification of an accident”. It was introduced into circulation in Russia in July 2015 in order to relieve congestion on already congested roads.

- No more than two vehicles, including vehicles with trailers, are involved in the accident.
Contrary to information spread on the Internet, a car with a trailer in this case is considered as one vehicle.
- Both drivers have valid MTPL policies or a “Green Card” for foreign cars.

In addition, the alleged damage must be within the limits on the amount of insurance compensation. The amount of payments is established by the same law:
- When registering an accident without the participation of the traffic police, the amount of compensation does not exceed 50 thousand rubles.
- If the accident occurred on the territory of federal cities (Moscow, St. Petersburg) and their regions, then the maximum amount of insurance payments is equal to the established limit for compulsory motor liability insurance, that is, 400 thousand rubles.

- First of all, you need to make sure that no one was injured in the collision, and that only two cars were involved in the accident.
- Then find out the intentions of the opposite party regarding the registration of the incident and offer to draw up a European protocol.
- If the answer is positive, it is necessary to check whether the MTPL policies of both parties to the accident have expired.

Filling out the front side of the European protocol

1. Location of the accident . The name of the locality, street and house are indicated. If the accident occurred in a suburban area, enter the name of the route and kilometer.
2. Date of the accident . The date and exact time of the collision is written here. Before filling out, agree on the readings with other participants.
3. Number of damaged vehicles . The number 2 is entered in the field of the third paragraph, since the European protocol does not require the participation of a larger number of vehicles.

Filling out the back side of the Europrotocol
After disconnecting the form, the second page of the European protocol is filled out independently by each participant in the accident.
1. Vehicle . The letter “A” or “B” is marked here, which was used to designate the car when filling out the first page of the European protocol.

- availability of a compulsory motor liability insurance policy for each party;
