What it is
The driver’s personal tachograph card is, in fact, an ordinary plastic card. For identification by the device, there is an individual magnetic code on it.
The card stores information about the modes and schedules of vehicle operation by a specific driver.

What is its purpose
A driver card for a tachograph is an individual card with a microchip, which acts as a “key” that provides authentication and identification of the driver when using encryption tools.

Production of a driver card for a tachograph

CIPF cards and driver cards for the AETR tachograph, Russian and European models, are absolutely incompatible.

To obtain a Russian-style driver's card, you will need to provide the following information:

- Driver's TIN;
- one black and white photograph measuring 3.5x4.5; a petition from the organization.

Obligations of the driver receiving the card
When applying for a driver card, the applicant undertakes to comply with the following requirements established by the AETR: provide reliable information contained on the card; comply with the terms and conditions of its use; do not transfer the document to third parties who do not have the right to use it from the moment of receipt until the moment of termination.
Also, the driver of the vehicle undertakes to return the card to the authority that issued it in cases where circumstances arise that make it impossible to use it for its intended purpose in accordance with the requirements of the AETR - these could be: termination of activity; change of workplace and much more. What are the requirements to obtain a tachograph driver card?

What are the requirements for photography?
A photograph can be attached to the application in any of two options.
Printed version
The driver's photograph must be taken against a white background, facing the camera. The face should not be covered with a hat or other objects. The photograph can be either two-color or color.
The face should occupy more than 79% of the size of the photo itself.
In order to correctly place the image on the tachograph card, the size of the head in the photo must be from 3.2 to 3.6 centimeters in height and from 1.8 to 2.5 centimeters in width.
Digital version
The image file must be in bitmap format (.bmp) and at least 256 bits of color. The image itself is black and white, 394 pixels wide and 506 pixels high. The driver's face should be located on a white background strictly in the middle of the image, the head size should be 330-450 pixels in height.
What should you pay attention to?
